Iran Launches Missile and Drone Attack on U.S. Air Base in Jordan; Pentagon Reports Two American Troops Killed

Iran has reportedly launched a ballistic missile and drone attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, a military facility that hosts United States forces. The strike marks a major escalation in tensions between Iran and the U.S. amid the ongoing regional conflict.

According to the Pentagon, two U.S. service members were killed in the attack, while another remains missing. Several other American personnel were also injured after missiles and drones struck the military base.

Videos circulating on social media appear to show missiles hitting the base during the attack. However, the authenticity of these videos has not been independently verified. If confirmed, the incident would represent the first reported U.S. military fatalities caused by direct Iranian strikes since the current conflict intensified.

Following the attack, the United States reportedly carried out additional military strikes targeting Iranian positions. The latest developments have further heightened concerns over the risk of a wider conflict in the Middle East as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.
