Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes, is expected to reopen soon. However, he warned that if Iran delays or refuses to do so, the United States would “hit very hard.” He stressed that Washington is prepared to respond with force if negotiations fail.
The U.S. president also said recent discussions with Iran have shown progress and expressed hope that a peaceful agreement can still be reached. According to Trump, his administration prefers diplomacy over military action but will not hesitate to act if Iran does not fulfill its commitments.
