HARIPUR, August 25, 2026: The tragic case of five-year-old Ayat Noor, who went missing from Haripur around 15 days ago, has taken a disturbing turn after police recovered her body from a well near University Road and arrested three suspects in connection with the case.

Police identified the arrested suspects as Usman, Qasim and Talha. According to investigators, the suspects are under 16 years of age and were taken into custody as part of the investigation into Ayat’s disappearance and death.
Police said the investigation was launched after Ayat went missing on August 10. Investigators used CCTV footage and other methods to trace the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. The inquiry reportedly led police to the suspects and eventually to the location where the child’s body was recovered.
According to police claims, the suspects provided information that helped investigators locate Ayat’s body inside an old well near a warehouse on University Road. Police have also alleged that the child was sexually assaulted before she was killed. The allegations are part of the ongoing investigation and have not yet been established by a court.
Ayat’s body was shifted to a hospital for a post-mortem examination, while forensic evidence is being collected to determine the exact cause and circumstances of her death.
The recovery of the child’s body has caused grief and anger among her family and local residents. Protests have been held demanding justice for Ayat and strict action against anyone found responsible.
Police said the investigation is continuing and efforts are underway to determine the full circumstances of the case. Since the three arrested suspects have not been convicted, the allegations against them remain subject to the ongoing legal process.
