LAHORE: A 25-year-old TikToker and beautician, identified as Arshma, was found dead inside her flat in Lahore’s Islampura area after neighbours reportedly noticed a strong smell and alerted the police.
According to police, Arshma had been living alone in the flat. Officers recovered her body after several days and shifted it for a post-mortem examination. Physical and chemical samples collected during the examination were also sent to a forensic laboratory for analysis.
Police initially investigated the death from different angles, including the possibility of suicide. On September 6, police sources said evidence collected from the scene indicated that Arshma had died by suicide.
Lahore Police have subsequently declared the death a case of suicide based on the evidence available at the scene. However, the final forensic report is still awaited, and authorities will consider its findings as part of the investigation.
The case has attracted attention on social media because of Arshma’s presence as a TikToker and beautician. Further details regarding the circumstances of her death are expected after the forensic examination is completed.
