Robots Join Protest in Poland as Campaigners Demand Stronger AI Regulations

Around 30 robots took part in an unusual protest outside Poland’s Ministry of Digital Affairs, as campaigners called for stronger regulations to address concerns surrounding artificial intelligence and automation.

The demonstration was organised to draw public attention to the growing debate over whether AI-powered systems and robots could eventually replace human workers in different industries. By bringing real robots to the protest, organisers aimed to show that the impact of automation on jobs is no longer just a theoretical concern.

The robots were also used to demonstrate some of their existing capabilities, highlighting how rapidly technology is developing. Organisers hoped the unusual display would encourage people and policymakers to discuss the potential risks and benefits of AI and its effect on employment.

The protest comes amid growing international discussions about how governments can regulate artificial intelligence while allowing technological innovation to continue. Campaigners are calling for stronger safeguards to ensure that the development of AI and robotics does not come at the expense of workers.
