14 Newborns Killed in PIMS Nursery Fire as CCTV Footage Emerges

CCTV footage has emerged showing the moments of a devastating fire inside the nursery at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.

The footage shows flames and thick smoke spreading rapidly through the nursery, creating a critical situation for the newborns and hospital staff. The fire reportedly intensified within moments, making it extremely difficult to evacuate the babies.

According to the initial information, 15 newborns were present in the nursery when the fire broke out. Only one baby could reportedly be evacuated safely, while 14 newborns lost their lives in the tragic incident.

The incident has raised serious concerns about fire safety and emergency arrangements in hospital nurseries. Further details regarding the cause of the fire and the official investigation are awaited.
