Karachi police have reportedly obtained a new audio message allegedly recorded by Wafflix owner Mir Raza Ali before his death. The message was reportedly provided to investigators by a man identified as Ali Shad and is now being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
Mir Raza, a 25-year-old entrepreneur and former IBA student, went missing after leaving his home in Karachi on July 28. His body was later found in bushes in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Police are examining the audio message along with digital, forensic and other evidence collected during the investigation. Recent reports indicate that investigators have been considering the possibility of suicide, while Mir Raza’s family has maintained that he was kidnapped and murdered.
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have also ordered a fresh forensic examination of the body after concerns were raised over deficiencies in the initial post-mortem report. The body was exhumed on August 8, and DNA and other samples were collected for further examination.
