Pakistani actress and model Fiza Ali has reacted to Zain Hamid’s public confirmation of his divorce from actress Nimra Khan, questioning whether repeatedly discussing the end of a marriage in public is necessary.
Fiza Ali expressed concern over the choice of words used while announcing the divorce, saying that the end of a marriage should not become an opportunity to damage a woman’s reputation or dignity, particularly when she has chosen to remain silent about the matter.
In her statement, Fiza questioned the need for phrases such as “finally at peace” and “good riddance” in connection with a divorce. She said that once a relationship ends, both individuals should consider each other’s dignity and avoid making statements that could unnecessarily hurt or embarrass the other person.
Fiza also referred to the Islamic principle of ending a relationship with kindness and respect. Quoting the Quranic guidance, she highlighted the message of parting in a dignified manner, stressing that a person should “say goodbye with kindness, not humiliation.”
She further expressed her support and good wishes for Nimra Khan, emphasizing that separation should not be used as a reason to publicly question or damage a woman’s character.
Her comments have sparked discussion on social media about whether former spouses need to publicly announce or repeatedly explain a divorce, or whether such personal matters are better handled privately and respectfully.
