The post-mortem examination of Hina Javed, who was allegedly killed by her husband and a domestic worker in Rawalpindi’s Lal Kurti area, has revealed several injuries.
The report states that Hina suffered a fracture to a bone in her neck, while injuries were also found on her ribs and hip bone. Blood was also reportedly found around her heart during the examination.
The post-mortem was conducted by Dr Maria Khalid approximately 12 hours after Hina’s death. Her DNA samples were also collected and sent to a forensic laboratory for further analysis.
According to the post-mortem findings, the exact cause of death could not be established immediately. Various samples have been forwarded to the forensic laboratory, and the final cause of death is expected to be determined after the forensic results are received.
The report further stated that Hina was allegedly hanged by her husband. However, investigators are awaiting the forensic examination to establish the precise cause and circumstances of her death.
Police officials said the forensic samples collected during the post-mortem were handed over to Lady Constable Rafia Tabassum. A murder case has been registered at Civil Lines Police Station on the complaint of Hina’s brother, Fahad Javed.
Police have arrested Hina’s husband and the domestic worker in connection with the case. Both suspects have been remanded in police custody for three days as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding Hina’s death.
