Dr Ejaz Waris commented on Katrina’s changed appearance and made remarks comparing her to her husband Vicky Kaushal’s mother. He also referred to changes in her weight and appearance and questioned why she looked different from her earlier public appearances. His comments were widely circulated and criticised by social media users, with many describing them as body shaming and inappropriate.
