Saheefa Jabbar Khattak Opens Up About Depression and Her Spiritual Journey

Pakistani actress and model Saheefa Jabbar Khattak has spoken openly about her long struggle with depression and the role of faith in her journey. She shared that despite offering the five daily prayers, Tahajjud and reciting the Quran, she continued to experience symptoms of depression.

Khattak has previously revealed that she has been dealing with depression since 2013 and experienced severe panic attacks for several years before fully understanding what she was going through. She has also spoken about seeking professional help and the importance of having supportive people around during difficult periods.

Speaking about the connection between religion and mental health, the actress clarified that she does not blame religion for her condition. Instead, she stressed that depression should be understood as a health issue and that people experiencing it should receive empathy, care and appropriate professional support.

Saheefa’s comments have renewed discussion around mental-health awareness and the common misconception that depression is simply linked to a lack of religious faith. She has consistently encouraged people to take mental-health struggles seriously and seek professional assistance when needed.

The actress has also previously said that her mental health has improved compared with the most difficult period of her life, although recovery has taken time. Her experiences have contributed to wider conversations about reducing the stigma surrounding depression and creating a more supportive environment for people facing mental-health challenges.
