Indian social media personality Urfi Javed has voiced her support for students associated with the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest, speaking out over concerns surrounding alleged examination paper leaks and the treatment of young protesters.
In a video shared on social media, Urfi questioned the contrast between the opportunities available to the children of politicians and the struggles faced by ordinary students. She criticised the reported use of police force against young people protesting for their rights, saying that while the children of political leaders can study abroad, ordinary students are left to face difficulties at home.
Urfi also made it clear that her comments were not intended as support for any particular political party. She said her position was based on her belief in democracy and the right of students to raise their voices and demand accountability.
Her comments have sparked discussion on social media, with many users praising her for speaking about student concerns, while others have debated her views and the wider political issues surrounding the protests. Urfi’s remarks come as the CJP-led movement continues to draw public attention over allegations related to paper leaks and demands for reforms and accountability.
