Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and senior Saudi leadership offered Friday prayers together at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah during the Pakistani delegation’s official visit to Saudi Arabia.
The congregation was also attended by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, along with several senior Saudi officials. The leaders gathered in Islam’s holiest mosque, where they joined thousands of worshippers for the Jumu’ah prayer in a spiritually significant moment.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is currently in Saudi Arabia to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss regional and economic cooperation with the Saudi leadership. During the visit, the Pakistani delegation has held high-level meetings focused on enhancing investment, trade, defence collaboration, and regional peace.
The participation of the Pakistani prime minister and Field Marshal Asim Munir in Friday prayers at Masjid al-Haram alongside the Saudi Crown Prince and Turkish President reflects the close diplomatic ties among the three countries. The visit also highlights Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its longstanding strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia while expanding cooperation with regional allies.
