LAHORE: Mahnoor Safdar, the youngest daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, has tied the knot with Azaan Jabbar in an intimate nikah ceremony at the Sharif family’s residence in Jati Umra, Lahore.
Mahnoor looked effortlessly elegant in a graceful white ensemble for the special occasion, with her simple and sophisticated bridal look drawing attention on social media.
The nikah was held on Saturday, September 12, in a private gathering attended by close family members, relatives and friends. Reports said around 100 guests were expected to attend the ceremony, reflecting the family’s decision to keep the occasion low-key and away from the spotlight.
Azaan Jabbar is the son of businessman and industrialist Jabbar Khalid, who is associated with the flour-milling industry. Details about the couple’s wedding celebrations beyond the private nikah have not been officially announced.
The wedding comes shortly after Mahnoor completed her undergraduate studies in Anthropology at SOAS University of London. Maryam Nawaz had recently travelled to London to attend her daughter’s graduation ceremony, making the academic milestone a proud moment for the family.
Mahnoor has generally maintained a low public profile despite being part of one of Pakistan’s most prominent political families. Her nikah has nevertheless attracted considerable attention, particularly following the recent news of her graduation and wedding.
