PML-N Punjab MPA Saqib Chadhar has reportedly expressed regret over his past relationship with actress Momina Iqbal, admitting in an interview with journalist Irshad Bhatti that he had been unfaithful to his wives and children for her. He described the decision as a mistake that he later came to regret.
During the interview, Chadhar spoke about his personal life and acknowledged that his actions had affected his family. His comments have since drawn attention on social media, particularly amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his alleged association with Momina Iqbal.
Meanwhile, a cybercrime investigation involving the two is reportedly continuing. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has allegedly reissued notices after new digital evidence emerged in the case.
Momina Iqbal had previously alleged that she was subjected to prolonged online harassment, cyberbullying and death threats allegedly linked to Chadhar. She reportedly approached the NCCIA and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), seeking legal action and an impartial investigation. She had also appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for “unbiased and lawful action” in the matter.
The latest remarks by Saqib Chadhar have added another dimension to the controversy, while the reported cybercrime investigation remains ongoing. Allegations against any individual remain subject to investigation and legal determination.
