Twin Newborn Babies Found Abandoned in Gujrat, Woman Arrested

Two newborn twin babies were found abandoned in Madina Syedan, Gujrat, on Thursday morning, prompting police to take action and arrest a woman allegedly involved in leaving the infants.

According to police, the woman was arrested by Sadar Gujrat Police under Case No. 328. The case registered against her states that she had reportedly been facing emotional distress for some time before the incident.

Following the recovery, the newborn twins were handed over to the Child Protection Bureau in Gujranwala for care and protection.

Police said the arrested woman originally belonged to another village and had been married in Madina Syedan. Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to the abandonment of the newborns.

The incident has raised concern among residents, while authorities continue to investigate the case and ensure the safety and well-being of the two infants.
