GUJRANWALA: An alleged attempt to abduct a young girl was reportedly foiled in the City Housing area of Gujranwala after the child refused to approach an unfamiliar person.
According to the information circulating on social media, the girl’s quick thinking and awareness helped her stay safe when a stranger allegedly attempted to get her to come closer. She reportedly kept her distance instead of following the individual.
The incident has raised concerns among parents and highlighted the importance of teaching children basic safety measures. Parents are being urged to remain vigilant and avoid allowing young children to go outside alone, particularly in areas where they may come into contact with strangers.
Experts and safety advocates also recommend teaching children not to accept anything from unfamiliar people, not to follow strangers and to immediately seek help from a trusted adult if they feel threatened or uncomfortable.
The reported incident serves as a reminder that children should be taught age-appropriate personal safety skills and encouraged to speak up whenever they encounter a suspicious situation.
