Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar has expressed pride in fellow Pakistani athlete Manesha Ali after her impressive gold-medal victory at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) World Cup in Luanda, Angola.
Manesha Ali defeated Angola’s Leonela Isabel Blaiye by submission in the second round to claim the gold medal. Representing Pakistan at the international tournament, Manesha delivered a strong performance and secured the decisive finish with just 15 seconds remaining in the second round.
The fighter, who hails from Gilgit-Baltistan, trains at Brave Gym Lahore. During the final moments of the bout, she successfully applied a standing guillotine after her opponent attempted a late attack, forcing the match to end by submission.
The victory marks another notable international achievement for Pakistan in mixed martial arts and highlights the growing participation of Pakistani athletes on the global MMA stage. The IMMAF World Cup featured fighters representing teams from different countries, with Manesha competing under the Pakistani flag.
