Pakistani actor Bilal Qureshi has raised concerns about the current education system and the practice of sending children to school at a very young age. He believes that parents should focus more on developing a child’s understanding, awareness and ability to recognize situations before putting them under the pressure of formal schooling.
Qureshi suggested that children below the age of five should not be rushed into school. According to his viewpoint, the early years should be used to build a child’s understanding and sense so they can better recognize what is right and wrong and become more confident and secure as they grow.
He stressed that a child who has greater awareness and understanding may be better able to protect themselves and respond appropriately to difficult or unsafe situations. His comments highlighted the importance of child safety, awareness and proper guidance alongside academic education.
Qureshi also criticized the growing commercialization of education, saying that some schools appear to be more focused on making money than providing meaningful education. He argued that schools should prioritize children’s learning, character-building, confidence and overall development rather than treating education simply as a business.
His remarks have sparked discussion about the appropriate age for starting formal education and whether young children are being exposed to academic pressure too early. He also emphasized the need for parents and educational institutions to give greater attention to children’s safety, awareness and emotional development.
