PML-N Punjab MPA Saqib Chadhar has spoken about Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal in an interview with journalist Irshad Bhatti, claiming that she was “love at first sight” for him.
During the interview, Chadhar said he decided he wanted to marry the actress just four hours after seeing her for the first time. He further claimed that he proposed to Momina Iqbal three to four days later.
His remarks come as a cybercrime investigation involving the two reportedly continues. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has reportedly reissued notices after new digital evidence emerged in the case.
Momina Iqbal had previously alleged that she faced prolonged online harassment, cyberbullying and death threats allegedly connected to Saqib Chadhar. She approached the NCCIA and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and also appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for “unbiased and lawful action.”
The allegations remain part of an ongoing investigation, and the claims made by either side have not been established as fact by a court. The case has continued to attract public attention due to the involvement of a prominent actress and a sitting provincial lawmaker.
