The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed former South African cricketer Michael Smith as the new batting coach of the Pakistan men’s cricket team for a two-year period.
According to the PCB, the 46-year-old coach will work with the national team across both Test and white-ball formats. His appointment is expected to support Pakistan’s batting unit as the team prepares for upcoming international assignments.
Smith will join the Pakistan team ahead of their three-match Test series against England, which is scheduled to begin on August 19. His first major assignment will be working with the team during the series as Pakistan looks to strengthen its batting performance in the longer format.
