A deeply tragic incident was reported in Karachi’s Surjani Town, where a woman and two children were found dead inside a house in Sector 7-D, while an 18-month-old girl was found critically injured. According to police, the victims had suffered injuries from a sharp-edged weapon.
The deceased were identified as 34-year-old Mehwish, six-year-old Harba and five-year-old Haneen. The injured 18-month-old girl was identified as Ashmira. Police said Mehwish was the mother of the children.
Police, rescue officials and other relevant teams reached the house after receiving information about the incident. The bodies were shifted for medico-legal procedures, while the injured child was taken to a hospital for treatment.
However, the 18-month-old girl later succumbed to her injuries, taking the total number of deaths to four.
