Lahore’s Nawab Town police have registered a case against TikToker Rajab Butt and several others following allegations of an assault and firing incident at a local cafe.
The case was filed on the complaint of a woman identified in the complaint as Ayesha Jutt, who alleged that the incident took place on July 25. According to her account, she had visited the cafe with friends when two men and two women allegedly began harassing one of her companions.
Ayesha alleged that when she and her friends tried to intervene, the situation escalated. She claimed that her friend was verbally abused and slapped during the confrontation. She further alleged that one of the suspects, identified as Mir Shafi, pulled out a pistol and opened fire during the altercation.
The complainant also alleged that Rajab Butt was present at the scene and participated in the alleged assault against her and her friend. Police subsequently registered a case under Sections 354, 506(B) and 337-H(2) of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched an investigation into the incident.
The allegations are part of the police complaint and have not been proven in court. Further action will depend on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
