Pakistani actress Mishi Khan has criticized Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal over his response and interaction with people following the tragic fire at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.

In a social media post, Mishi Khan expressed shock at what she described as the minister’s treatment of the families who lost their loved ones in the tragedy. She questioned the lack of empathy and remorse she perceived in his response and called for his resignation.
“Resign, resign for heaven’s sake. You are an incompetent person for this post,” Mishi Khan wrote while reacting to the minister’s handling of the situation.
The PIMS fire claimed the lives of 14 newborn babies, triggering widespread grief, public anger and demands for accountability. The government has ordered an inquiry into the incident, while Mustafa Kamal has said that anyone found responsible for negligence or wrongdoing should face consequences. He has also offered himself for accountability.
Mishi Khan’s remarks have added to the growing public criticism surrounding the tragedy, with calls being made for those responsible to be held accountable and for hospital safety measures to be reviewed.
