Cristiano Ronaldo and his longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez are once again at the centre of wedding speculation, with fans and media closely following reports about when the couple may finally tie the knot. However, neither Ronaldo nor Rodriguez has officially announced a wedding date.
The rumours began gaining attention after Ronaldo spoke about his relationship with Rodriguez during an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan in late 2025. The Portugal captain revealed that he had proposed to Rodriguez after around 10 years together, explaining that their daughters were present during the special moment.
When asked about their wedding plans, Ronaldo gave an intriguing answer, saying the ceremony would take place “after the World Cup, with the champion’s trophy.” However, Portugal’s campaign ended with a last-16 exit, leaving fans wondering whether the couple’s wedding plans could now be affected.
Speculation later grew around the possibility of a wedding on August 1 or 2, a period that would reportedly fit Ronaldo’s football schedule. With his club Al-Nassr not expected to begin the new season until mid-September, the football star would have had time to celebrate before returning to pre-season preparations.
Several possible locations have also been mentioned in Portuguese media reports. Among them was the historic Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra, near Lisbon. Ronaldo has reportedly been spending time in the area while working on a new home in nearby Cascais. Earlier reports had also linked the wedding to Madeira, where the island’s cathedral and a luxury hotel were reportedly mentioned as possible venues.
The rumours intensified again on July 28, when Ronaldo shared a photograph of himself travelling with his children on his private jet. The post led to speculation that the family could be heading to a secret wedding destination, with the Balearic Islands among the locations suggested online. However, the trip was later understood to be a family holiday in Palma de Mallorca.
Reports also turned attention to Brazilian singer Luan Santana, whose concert schedule was reportedly examined amid claims that he could perform at the much-anticipated wedding. However, no official confirmation has been given regarding any entertainment plans.
Despite the growing speculation, Ronaldo’s sister Katia Aveiro has reportedly played down claims that the wedding is happening soon. Speaking to Portuguese magazine TV7 Dias, she said that no date had been set and indicated that she would not be wearing a wedding dress this year.
